An apprenticeship at ANS is a proven fast-track pathway into a great career in the tech industry. There’s a huge and growing demand for technology skills and we’re committed to opening up opportunities for everyone. In late 2021, our £5million digital academy was recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ status by OFSTED, only one of two tech companies in the UK to receive this award. The Academy is one of the biggest in the UK and there could be a place here waiting for you.

ANS was awarded an ‘outstanding’ classification by Ofsted, the UK’s education regulator, in September 2021. This recognises the fantastic quality of our apprenticeship programme. OFSTED said ‘Apprentices strive to achieve to the best of their ability in the workplace. All apprentices go on to be successful and move into permanent or promoted posts within the company’. This grade makes us the only tech company in the North of England to have received the commendation and one of only two in the whole of the UK.

ANS is dedicated to providing apprentices with the ideal work, life and learning balance, combining a fun environment with state-of-the-art facilities to progress their abilities. Learning is led by a fantastic training team headed up by former teachers. It’s their skills, the support and mentoring of the wider, highly experienced technical teams that give our apprentices hugely successful careers in tech.

You’ll learn by doing and by getting hands-on with cutting-edge technology from day one, working alongside the best engineers in the business, supported by mentors from across the business. You don’t need to have previous experience or qualifications, just bring your enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

We’ll help you fulfil your potential, identifying your areas of strength and interest and setting you on the path to your perfect role. Our award-winning Level 3 Information Communication Technician apprenticeship allows you to follow two paths, Digital Cloud Technician or Connectivity Technician. Both paths give you insight into the business and allow you to build the skills to follow your passion. Throughout the business, you’ll meet people like you who have found their perfect career with ANS and the wider ANS team.

We recently teamed up with Bud as our main platform for apprenticeship delivery. This allows us to deliver our apprenticeships to the highest standard. With Bud’s progress tracker you can see exactly how you are progressing and where you need to be. You don’t need to work out your next steps, as they are always right in front of you. Bud allows you to progress to success quicker as you can see that you are gaining ground.

By the time you finish your studies, you’ll be able to apply to become a full-time member of the ANS team. The array of jobs you can apply for throughout the business can seem endless, but we will help guide your career with advice and guidance throughout your program. But you won’t have to wait until you finish your apprenticeship to feel part of us. While you train, you’ll be working directly with our customers and helping to solve their problems, contributing to the success of the business.
